Happy 1st Birthday Caiden!

Happy 1st Birthday Caiden!

The doctors said you wouldn't live to be two months old.  They were so wrong.  Our God is bigger than that.  This has been a year of miracles, and blessings.  We love you SO much, our hearts are overflowing.

Thank you God!

Caiden's 1st Birthday

We celebrated Caiden's 1st birthday today. He will be one on Monday.  Lots of friends and family came to celebrate.  There were monkey cupcakes and "C" for Caiden cookies along with a lot of other food.  And lots of presents.  His favorite present was a Cookie Monster card.

There's Bushwacker's in them thar hills!

We hear there is a robbery of the Hill Country Flyer train out of Austin, Texas planned for late spring or early summer.  Luckily the "Bad Guys" are really the "Good Guys" and all the loot will be donated to Caiden's Hope.

As soon as we know more, we'll post the details.  (hope the Sheriff doesn't read this!)

He's Smiling and there are teeth in there!

Caiden's first and second tooth came in over the weekend!

Caiden Rolled Over!

From time to time, Caiden's Grandmother Terry will post updates on Caiden, his progress and how Caiden's Hope is helping other families.  We look forward to your comments.  Her first post is:

Caiden was laying on the floor and rolled ALL THE WAY OVER!  He tucked his little arm and over he went! Then he raised up on his arms and had his head up.  When he was done having his own tummy time he rolled himself back over!  This is a really big milestone for him!

A look back at 2010

Caiden's Hope was formed in the summer of 2010 and was named for baby Caiden born in Ventura, California earlier in the year.  His family and friends formed Caiden's Hope to help other families facing similar struggles.

Following his birth, Caiden was transported by ambulance to UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California for treatment.  He remained at the hospital for the next two months.  His father and grandparents visited him as often as possible, while his mother remained by his side.  She was forced to make unexpected and costly travel arrangements so she could be with him every day.  The expense of hotel arrangements was the driving force behind the creation of Caiden's Hope.  To learn more, you can listen to Caiden's Story by visiting our website at http://www.caidenshope.org/

Caiden's Hope is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization that is dedicated to helping provide travel arrangements for familes enduring the hardship of a loved one undergoing long term medical care.  We focus on alleviating the unexpected financial burden associated with air travel, hotels and other related expenses.

The 2010 goal of Caiden's Hope was to help one family.  Thanks to the wonderful support we have received to date, we have been able to help four families and will be assisting another family in early February.

You can help Caiden's Hope bring peace to families in crisis in several ways:

1. Make a personal donation via our secure Paypal link at http://www.caidenshope.org/
2. Provide funding for office supplies such as letterhead, envelopes, stamps or brochures
3. Attend a Fund Raising Event
4. Donate your time and talents to Caiden's Hope

All assistance, large and small is needed and greatly appreciated.
